Narfarelin acetate is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogue. The drug is obtained by D - naphthol alanine replaced the glycine on the sixth position of natural GnRH, its effect is about 200 times that of natural GnRH. This product is an analogue of GnRH. The initial use can promote LH, FSH and sex hormone secretion increase, after 1~2 weeks began to produce the opposite effect, sex hormone secretion can be reduced to castration level.
Function
By inhibiting the GnRH receptor in the anterior pituitary gland, the secretion of gonadotropins (FSH and LH) is inhibited, thus inhibiting the function of the ovary and testis, and achieving the purpose of treating and controlling some diseases related to sex hormones.
